More on citric acid treatment for cancer

Dear Jonathan,

Recently, I published another evidence about another patient with terminal cancer (peritoneal mesothelioma) who improves only with citric acid as his treatment, this is the reference:

Clinical report: A patient with primary peritoneal mesothelioma that has improved after taking citric acid orally.

Bucay AH. Clin Res Hepatol Gastroenterol. 2011 Feb 21. [Epub ahead of print] PMID: 21345759.

And, as I commented to the Editors of Clinics and Research in Hepatology and Gastroenterology, this work is completely reproducible, any patient, with any kind of cancer, including leukemia, who takes citric acid orally as I described with this second patient… will improve.

Greetings.

Sincerely, Alberto Halabe Bucay

Over-exposure to Radiation – how to protect yourself

Posted by Jonathan Chamberlain on March 14, 2011

if you are looking for cancer related information – please browse this site. There’s a lot of info here. This supports and extends the info in my two cancer books – see www.fightingcancer.com for details.

Over-exposure to Radiation – how to protect yourself

The recent concern over the possible explosion and resulting radioactive fallout from the Japanese nuclear power stations damaged by the tsunami has focused attention on a subject that is also concerning to travellers in and out of the USA who are being forced to undergo screening that involves exposure to radiation. Furthermore, there are many procedures such as regular dental x-rays and MRI scans that are building up our personal loads of radiation – because of course it is cumulative. And this radiation is associated with cancer in the long term.

Some thought has gone into how we can protect ourselves – one of the most interesting discussions can be found at Dr Sircus’s site (see link) – where he promotes the use of potassium iodide and baking soda among other things

Arimidex? Or DIM?

Posted by Jonathan Chamberlain on March 12, 2011

If you are looking for cancer related information there is a lot here – so do browse. This supplements and extends the information and critical discussion in my two cancer books – see www.fightingcancer.com

Arimidex or DIM?

Estrogen is implicated in a large number of breast cancer cases – and therefore one approach to controlling these cancers is to ruppress this estrogen by inhibiting aromatase – an enzyme involved in the synthesis of estrogen. And one drug that is being recommended for this purpose is Arimidex.

DIM (di-indolyl-methane) is a naturally occuring compound – found in broccoli – that balances estrogen naturally. It also has other effects that are beneficial – extremely beneficial – for cancer patients – particularly people with breast, prostate and pancreatic cancers. Go to the following link to read a discussion by some women who are using DIM. They are raving about it.

My Cancer journey – by Jonathan Chamberlain

Posted by Jonathan Chamberlain on March 9, 2011

If you are looking for information to inform your cancer decisions then browse this site – there’s a lot here – and read my cancer books – see http://www.fightingcancer.com for details

My Cancer Journey by Jonathan Chamberlain

My wife was diagnosed with cancer early in 1993. By the time she got to the operating table the cancer had spread beyond the uterus. Radiation and chemotherapy seemed at first to have shrunk the tumour to nothing but it came back with a vengeance. This time there was no stopping it and at midday on Easter Sunday 1994, she died.

This short description says nothing of the emotional impacts on us and our relationship as we reacted in very different ways to the situation. When Bern died I was left stunned at how rapid and painful the course of the disease had been. By now I had done sufficient reading to know that while this might have been my first bout with cancer, it certainly wasn’t going to be the last. It was clear that I had at least a fifty per cent chance myself. What was I going to do if that happened? All I knew was that I would be a fool to stop my cancer education at that point. What Bern had done had clearly not worked and it had been excruciatingly painful and physically very damaging.

So I kept on reading and reading and then there came a point where I felt I had some angle on the problem. And when you have some wisdom or knowledge, you want to share it. So I sat down and wrote a book. That first version was called Fighting Cancer: A Survival Guide. And I set up a website at www.fightingcancer.com so that I could collate people’s experiences, and my thoughts. It was an attempt at a blog before blogs came into being. This was about 1997. It was also at this site that I made the book available, free of charge, when that first edition went out of print.

Time passed and after a few years I decided to revisit the book and realised that it was organisationally a complete mess. It was also out of date. So I spent a year re-writing it and republished it as Cancer: The Complete Recovery Guide. The next year I was asked to write a slim book for a small publishing company and the result was Cancer Recovery Guide: 15 Alternative and Complementary Strategies for Restoring Health. And then of course more information came my way so I set up a new blog site at www.cancerfighter.wordpress.com.

It is now over 15 years since I started on this journey. What have I learnt?

The first thing I have learnt  is that there is no single cure for cancer that will work for you, me and everybody else. There are no 100% cures. I have also learnt that there are good arguments for many courses of action – conventional and alternative. One can mix and match. And thirdly, we are all different in the way we react to and think about cancer. What you may decide to do may seem like madness to me – and vice versa – but one thing we need to recognise is this: the person who has the cancer is the one who has to make the decision because he or she is the one who has to live with the consequences. They are responsible to themselves and to their families only – and everyone else needs to respect that decision.

Recently, I received an email from someone who had read my first cancer book. At that time her mother was in her eighties when she was diagnosed. Reading the book with her mother they came to the conclusion that she would do nothing. Her body was too frail to cope with any serious intervention and she was too old to change her habits. So she did nothing and continued to live and she was still alive in her 90s. The writer thanked me for helping her to understand that doing nothing was an option.

Over the years I have discovered that there are good and bad arguments about the value of conventional and alternative therapies. Everyone needs to make their own decision on the matter. But it has always seemed to me that the wisest course of action was to inform myself about the widest range of options. Only then would I be in a position to answer that crucial question: What will I do when I get cancer?

cancer and liver cleanse

Posted by Jonathan Chamberlain on March 8, 2011

If you need cancer information you’ll find it here on this site (please browse) or in my two cancer books – see www.fightingcancer.com for details.

Cancer and Liver Cleanse

The liver is vital for good health. Its job is to cleanse the blood and to remove toxins. A liver in poor shape means a person in poor health. A compromised liver and cancer go hand in hand.

Here then  is a suggestion for a simple liver cleanses – also called liver detox

Oleander cancer cure – personal reactions

What I like about Tony Isaacs collection of personal testimonies is that they are all clearly part of a long term conversation and many of them are interim responses. If I had cancer this is certainly one of the ways I would go.

Miracle Mineral Supplement – a critical review

Posted by Jonathan Chamberlain on March 8, 2011

There’s a lot of cancer-related info on this site – which supports and extends the info and critical discussion in my two cancer books – see www.fightingcancer.com for details

Miracle Mineral Supplement – a critical review

Jim Humble made a big mistake when he first named his sodium chlorite solution ‘Miracle’ Mineral Supplement. It was walking straight into the hands of the so-called quackwatchers (the feral hounds from hell who protect the gates of ‘science’). What could smack more of quackery? Humble then called it simply MMS and has recently renamed it ‘Master Mineral Supplement’ . He has also founded a church where the substance can be worshipped.  Is this  a tactical exercise to create a space of freedom to use a product that might otherwise be proscribed. Or is it that Jim Humble has flipped his lid?

Now the truth is that 28% sodium chlorite solution is powerful stuff. I recently made the mistake of rubbing some on some fungus glose to my groin. The result was certainly a case of the cure being worse than the disease. Within about 15 minutes all the fungal growth in that area came screaming to the surface of the skin as if burnt by a flame thrower. It was extremely painful for about a weak. But did it work? Yes it did.

I have also used it orally. Doesn’t taste good but it certainly made me sleep soundly (and I just took a few drops). But I am not a doctor. Here is Dr Sircus’s commentary on MMS (Dr Sircus is of course the exponent of a rival master mineral supplement –  magnesium (preferably in the form of magnesium chloride oil). Some of the comments and testimonials make some very worrying points about MMS and I for one will certainly treat it with a great deal more caution than I have done up till now

Carol’s Cancer Recovery story

Carol’s Cancer Journey

Carol Patterson is a two-time cancer survivor – the first time she chose to do what the doctors advised – and horrendous though the effects were it seemed for a short time to be working. The second time round Carol was offered disfiguring surgery. She decided to go down the alternative route – and she is now cancer free. It is salutary to read the story in her own words –

Is it sensible to do nothing for your cancer?

Posted by Jonathan Chamberlain on March 4, 2011

There’s a lot of info on this site – keep browsing! This supports the info and discussion in my two cancer books – see www.fightingcancer.com for details

Is it sensible to do nothing for your cancer?

The quick answer is: YES. I do think doing nothing can be the best option.

The argument that the best thing you can do for your cancer (and yourself) is to do nothing  gets stronger the older you get, If you’re 80 years old plus then conventional  therapies are going to be too risky. Can your body cope? While at the same time you may not wish to change your habits.

I recently put forward this idea to a group I was speaking to and one man in the audience told me his story. His mother, then 87, had been diagnosed with cancer. The doctors explained what they intended to do but the mother would have nothing to do with it. It wasn’t troubling her unduly. So she did nothing. No surgery, chemo or radiayion. Her instincts were clearly good because she went on to live another 13 years – dying at the age of 100.

Can Apple Cider Vinegar and Blackstrap Molasses cure prostate cancer?

Posted by Jonathan Chamberlain on March 4, 2011

There’s a lot of cancer related information on this site – supporting the information and discussion in my two cancer books – see www.fightingcancer.com for details.

Can Apple Cider Vinegar and Blackstrap Molasses cure prostate cancer?

Apple cider vinegar has been recommended for many health problems – particularly for its alkalisimg ability. It is therefore no surprise that there are claims that it has helped people with cancers. Molasses may seem a surprising cancer cure – surely it is packed with sugar and everyone knows cancer feeds on sugar!

In fact  blackstrap molasses are a combination of ‘good’ sugars and also rich in minerals.

According to one testimonial, Pam from UK writes: “my daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor 13 years ago. i was told she had not long to live . i gave her black molasses after reading a book. last week she was told the tumor was still there but had not grown in 13 years.”

Here are some other interesting testimonials
