Getting well again after cancer chemotherapy

While a few cancer chemotherapy regimes are mild, the majority are toxic and damaging in the extreme. Nobody who has witnessed or personally experienced chemo will challenge that statement.

How do you pick yourself up afterwards? Here is a story about how one woman found a tool that helped motivate her and get her back on to her feet after having been virtually crippled by chemo:

Mary Jane Zamora is a 50 year old woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2005. Weakened by chemo she too tired to get off the couch. So her daughters had the bright idea of buying her a Wii for her to play. This is the story of the healing power of games. They force us to compete. The desire to win. And the fun of trying to win are powerful motivating forces. Although she found it “exhausting”to begin with, she played everyday and as a result she recovered faster than she otherwise would have.

“What this game did for me,” she said. “Was encourage me that I could still do these kind of things. It came around when I needed it.” Zamora said that the Wii and its games helped her to visualize her new life, after cancer. “My life is coming back. It’s not about loss. It’s about setting aside what I was and evolving into an even better person… this has been a cornerstone.”

“I cured my breast cancer using natural methods”

“I cured my breast cancer using natural methods”

I Googled this statement and came up with pages of personal testimony written by women who had cured their breast cancers using natural means.

Since around 1990 breast cancer survival rates have begun to swing very strongly in a positive direction but the truth is there was no great change in treatment to explain this. One reason given was that perhaps there had been improvements in diagnosis – and of course such improvements would manifest themselves as improvements in survivability (see my book Cancer: The Complete Recovery Guide for a complete discussion of this issue). But the other thing that has been happening is that women have been learning about – and have been very attracted to – natural approaches to cancer. And women (unlike men) have been talking to each other. The result is that women are more and more inclined towards natural approaches and have had the courage of their convictions. I believe the improvement in breast cancer survival rates is in fact a measurement of the impact of alternative approaches.

Here are links to some of those stories.

Dancing Girl told her story on CureZone.com:

“In my town, I’m always the “go-to” person for women newly diagnosed with breast cancer as I’m nine years out and doing really really well. While I had been into natural medicine for my kids, I started with the traditional route for myself when I was diagnosed, had surgery, etc. but when it got to the chemo, I just couldn’t hack it–I HATED it and stopped it midway and then asked our naturopath what to do. She told me then that she had had breast cancer and chose Carnivora to get rid of it because she had studied in Germany with Helmut Keller, the doctor that developed it–like 30 years ago–and she had seen first hand how it had cured so many people of even late stage cancers–all kinds–too. So I found out my doctor had cured herself with it. So that gave me the confidence (as much as anybody can have “confidence” at that point!) to go for it. I just want people to know there is this wonderful alternative out there that is totally non-toxic and truly truly works. Ronald Reagan used it to cure his colon cancer in 1985 and Yul Brenner used it and it put his lung cancer into remission–and then he figured he was cured and stopped taking it and it came back! I do still take it on occasion when I feel like my immune system needs a boost. It can be used for prevention. If anyone’s interested go to there website–carnivora.com. And take it as the protocol says–you won’t get the results unless you take as much as they say! I also learned recently it works for Lyme Disease–It eats up any abnormal cells. Keep on Dancing!”

“I wish I had read this book before I was diagnosed. My doctor and the cancer charities didn’t tell me any of this.”

Radiation and cancer

Radiation and Cancer

In my book Cancer: The Complete Recovery Guide I describe how I met Sandra and learnt from her how radiation had completely destroyed her life – and the lives of others who had been on the same treatment protocol and how everything and everybody conspired to prevent their problems being recognised.

Recently the New York Times published a story about radiation damage. The story of Marci Faber is salutary in the extreme. She went in for treatment for a non-life-threatening condition and a year later is in a virtual vegetative state.

New form of CoQ10 (CoQH) liposomal ubiquinol even more effective against cancer

New form of CoQ10 (CoQH) liposomal ubiquinol even more effective against cancer

A small Scandinavian study that looked at the impact of CoQ10 in 1994 found that a dose of 390mg/day – taken with a mix of other supplements (a combination known as the Stockholm Protocol) was sufficient to stop cancer progressing. Since then there have been two advances.

1. Coq10 is otherwise known as Ubiquinone. A more active form – ubiquinol – has been developed.

2. A liposomal form of ubiquinol has been developed. This is a method that enables vitamins and minerals to be taken in a fat soluble way – and this in turn increases the delivery impact by a factor of ten.

One study reportedly indicates that an intake of 400-500 mg  of this liquid liposomal ubiquinol was on it own sufficient to cause remission in a number of different cancers.
