There are current campaigns to test the over 60s for bowel cancer. If there are indications that all is not well the next step is usually a colonoscopy. Now a friend of mine had a colonoscopy that found he had polyps. These were removed and a year later he died from a widely spread cancer. Connection? Or coincidence? That’s anyone’s call.
