Coffee protects against cancer?
Dr Michael Roizen believes coffee is very healthy for you – and is protective against liver and ovarian cancers. Get the story here
This goes against previous suggestions that coffee was bad for you – increasing your chances of getting pancreatic cancer
and the New York Times article based on this study
But this association was not supported by other evidence
Overall, coffee appears to be good for you – people who drink coffee tend to live longer thasn people who don’t. Also the benefits appear to include oral and throat cancers (a pretty good test of whether or not coffee is healthful as these are the parts of the body that come in closest contact with the stuff) and prostate cancers – for a full list of benefits and risks see following link
