German surgeon’s view of cancer

“In cancer, the whole body is ill. You can’t just cut off a breast and pretend everything’s OK. You must treat the whole patient. That’s why we use a combination therapy for the whole body. As a surgeon, I usually recommend against surgery. You’ll get metastasis unless you get at the cause of the cancer. It’s not enough just to get rid of the tumor. You have to get rid of the metastasized cells, and that requires treating the whole body.” – unnamed German oncologist (quoted by Andrew Scholberg).
